The value of direct international investments that entered Turkey during 2021 amounted to 14 billion dollars, an increase of 79 percent compared to 2020. The Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement, Friday, July 10, 2022, that Turkey’s share of international direct investments during 2021 amounted to 0.9 percent. The statement added that the value of direct international investments that entered Turkey since 2002 until today, amounted to 240 billion dollars. He pointed out that 60 percent of direct investments in Turkey came from the countries of the European continent. Asian countries ranked second with 23 percent, followed by countries from the American continent with 16 percent. In terms of countries, Britain ranked first with 19 percent, followed by the United States with 16 percent, and the Netherlands third with 13 percent.
